Decorating Candles
I have had an order for candles from a lady who lives at Santa Teresa near Alice Springs. Today I decided to print some images on tissue paper and then use a hair dryer to melt the tissue paper into the wax. You iron the tissue paper so it does not have any wrinkles and then use double sided tape to adhere it to an A4 piece of paper and put that into your ink jet printer. I cut the tissue paper shorter than the A4 so that the rollers take up the printer paper first. I make sure that my image is not near the edge and then cut the individual images and lay them on the candle and use either a heat gun or hair dryer to adhere the paper to the candle. You can also wrap the candle and image with wax paper and heat this so that the wax from the wax paper adhere the image to the candle. I then used cellophane paper and wrapped the candle and use the heat gun or hair dryer to shrink and wrap the candle at the same time.
