Yoghurt Maker
This week I found 2 Yoghurt Makers at an op shop for $2.00. I use my yoghurt maker all the time so I thought these would make a nice gift for my family. I made a card with the recipe for making recipe (see below) then wrapped it in cellophane.
Heat up 900ml of milk up to just bubbling at the sides of saucepan. Let cool. Make a paste with 100ml milk and 1-2 tablespoons of either Hansells or EasiYo Yoghurt Mix and 1 tablespoon of honey (leave out if you do not want it sweet). Add to the cooled milk and then place into your yoghurt container (either the plastic provided or I prefer to use a glass Fowlers Vacola No 4). Pour boiling water into the thermos up until the red baffle and put in your container into thermos and put on lid and leave for about 8 to 12 hours. I usually make at night and then in the morning I have yoghurt. You can also retain 2 to 3 tablespoons of yoghurt to add to your next batch instead of the powder. Go to EasiYo website for lots of different recipes that you can use with your yoghurt. I myself love either stewed apple or grate a small apple and put into a glass with muesli or granola and then put the yoghurt on top.
