Isn't so beautiful when a dream comes to fruition.  For a long time in our work with vulnerable women we have wanted to set up a program that helped them to develop lifestyle skills.   As the African saying goes it takes a village to raise a child.  Since 2009 we have run homes for pregnant vulnerable women.  What we have found over this time that a lot of the times they have had to escape their village to provide a safe haven for their baby or soon to be born baby.  With the epidemic in drugs sometimes it is hard for them to stay with family because of this issue.  This year we have set up a team of women to run two programs - Village Women on Wednesday morning where the women learn different skills like bread making, menu planning and stock piling, vision boards, yogurt, knitting, crocheting, photography, blogging and many more. I am learning so much and really looking forward to what we have coming up in the program.  This is headed by Tammi who is a midwife, chef, wife mother to name a few of her gifted areas.  On Thursday we have Village Women Mother's Group headed by Amy who is a social worker, teacher and day care worker.  It makes my heart sing to see women who have been in our homes come back and meet up with old friends on a regular basis.  We have been given so many toys and Amy has done a great job stocking what we need for this playgroup.  On Thursday I have my grand daughter Liberty for the day and she really enjoys hanging out with the babies and getting to paint and play with the playdough.  There is exciting projects in the pipeline and I can't wait to share as they develop.
