How Generous is Our God

It is the 1st April and the start of the most important week in our church year. How are you planning to spend your week?  How are you going to make a difference this week?  About a week ago my daughter, Amanda wrote on Facebook encouraging all her friends to take up a challenge for April -
"Join me in a revolution of kindness. Capture 30 days of inspiration this April. Capture moments, capture kindness, capture creativity, capture inspiration, capture injustice and create change!"
I accepted the challenge and I chose to form a cooking/craft club called Capture Cooking & Creativity every Tuesday morning where women and their children come together and have fun creating meals for their families to take home and either use that night or freeze for another night.  I also for the month of April am going to blog every day and try and inspire people to go back to a simple way of life.  I also want to thank God for His graces and blessings that He gives me.
At the end of 2004 I decided to leave work and rely completely on God and what He provided for me.  In the October of 2004 my twin sister and I turned 50 and friends knowing that I was leaving work bought me a brand new Hyundai Accent.  I had never owned a new car before and when they took me for a drive and we ended up in a car yard I was in tears at their generosity.  My sister Eileen chose to leave work as well at the end of 2004 and we work together.  For a while now we have been talking about how we need to get a ute as we are always picking up furniture for St Pio's House of Hope or taking rubbish to the tip and how handy a ute would be.  On Friday we were prompted to go onto Gumtree and look at the ute's for sale.  Amazingly we found one that looked to be in great condition about 30 mins from Rockingham.  Terry a friend went with me to check it out.  The people were selling it for their parents as the Dad had a heart attack and could not drive it anymore.  It was in great condition and just what we wanted.
I called in yesterday to show my brother my new ute and within 10 mins of leaving him he phoned to say bring your Hyundai over and I will clean the engine for you.  Not only did he clean the engine but he detailed the whole outside of the car.  I was so grateful to him because it meant I could go home and take pictures and put it straight onto Gumtree. Now I just need to sell the Hyundai so I pray that someone will see it on Gumtree and like what they see.  Have you missed an opportunity this weekend to do a random act of kindness?
May God Bless you for the coming week.
